US-Indonesia trade deal faces risk of collapse, FT reports

Dec 9 (Reuters) - Indonesia's trade deal ​with the ‌United States is in ‌danger of collapsing, with U.S. trade representative Jamieson ⁠Greer believing ‌Jakarta is "backtracking" on several commitments ‍it made, the Financial Times reported ​on Tuesday, citing ‌unnamed sources.

Indonesian officials told Greer that Jakarta cannot agree to some ⁠binding commitments ​in the ​trade deal, the FT added.

Reuters could ‍not ⁠immediately verify the report.
