Eduardo Franco posted a video showing off his toned muscles after making a 3-month transformation in the gym

The Stranger Things star said he has a shirtless scene in an upcoming movie

He admitted that he took it upon himself to “look as lean as possible” for the role

Eduardo Franco is showing off an impressive physical transformation.

The 31-year-old actor, best known for playing Argyle in season 4 of Stranger Things, posted an Instagram video highlighting his new toned physique, which he got for an upcoming role.

“On July 14th, I got the word that I got this job,” he shared. “I knew in the script that the first scene where my character appears in — it's in the very beginning of the movie — that the character is shirtless. I said, ‘Okay well, I’m taking it upon myself. I’d like to look as lean as possible for that scene.’”

Franco said his personal trainer Bowen connected him with another trainer, Stephen Cheuk for help.

In the clip, the actor is at S10, a training center in New York City, doing an intense workout. He takes off his shirt and flexes his muscles. He then credits Cheuk for helping him build strength and improve his overall conditioning.

“I had no prior experience or any strength training whatsoever,” he added. “Stephen really did take care of me and it was super dope.”

The caption added: “3 months of hard work, discipline and S10 got @dumbuardo lean and mean for his movie role.”

Franco didn’t reveal what the upcoming role is, but fans and fellow stars commented under the post and praised him for his accomplishment, including his Stranger Things costars Caleb McLaughlin and Finn Wolfhard.

“Brother!!! What a beast 🔥” one person wrote, while another follower said, “Congrats dude you are an inspiration for many people 🔥”

“Took me a sec to realize who this is 😳 that’s how impressive the transformation is 👏🏻” a fan commented.
