TheStar Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 teaser trailer is out now on the Star Wars YouTube channel. The teaser trailer for the upcoming season has been released nearly three years after the first season premiered on Disney+.

Created by Dave Filoni, known for Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels, Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 will revolve around Ahsoka dealing with the growing threat of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Thrawn is back, with the aim of starting a war with the New Republic. However, Ahsoka is not on her own, as she will be backed by allies.

Season 2 picks up right where Season 1 ended, with both Ahsoka and Sabine on Peridea, as they go on a journey through a dangerous world while finding a way to return to their home.

What does the Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 trailer reveal?

The Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 teaser trailer starts with Anakin asking Ahsoka who is troubling her. Anakin is played by Hayden Christensen, and Ahsoka is played by Rosario Dawson. Anakin adds that he is always walking by her side. And within twenty-three seconds of the teaser, Grand Admiral Thrawn, played by Lars Mikkelsen, appears on the screen, declaring his return to the "glorious Empire." He says he took an oath to protect it, and soon after, he declares war on the Rebel Alliance. Thankfully, Ezra is back with Hera and the rest of his Rebels family for the fight.

Ahsoka sees visions of war as she and Sabine continue their journey to find their way back home. Throughout the trailer, Anakin can be seen training a young Ahsoka and later appearing alongside her older version, challenging her whether she is a Jedi. Ahsoka remembers how she walked away from the Jedi a long time ago. Towards the end of the trailer, Anakin tells her that this is her trial and that it is time for her to decide whether she is truly a Jedi or not.

Overall, the trailer has revealed two storylines. The first storyline shows Thrawn declaring war against the New Republic, and the second is Sabine and Ahsoka facing new problems on Peridea as she questions whether she is truly a Jedi or not.

Speaking of Season 2, Rosario Dawson said that Season 2 of Star Wars: Ahsoka is bigger and has many risky moments with bigger battles. She added that Thrawn will be a big challenge for her character, Ahsoka, and the galaxy. Christensen also shared a little about Anakin's role in the new season, explaining that he will continue to guide Ahsoka while also pushing her to find the answer to an important question about her place as a Jedi.

Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 also celebrates Dave Filoni's long history with Star Wars and his love for the original films. Along with releasing the first teaser trailer, Dave Filoni also revealed the release date of the upcoming season. As per the reports, Season 2 is scheduled to release on January 20, 2027, on Disney+.
