Those of us whose hearts forever reside in Capeside are still reeling over the news that Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes, former *Dawson's Creek *costars, are making a film trilogy, the first entry of which already began shooting this summer. The project's first chapter is called *Happy Hours*, and Holmes is writing and directing.

There isn't *too *much that is known about the endeavor, other than the crew was seen filming on the streets of New York City, but one person as eager as all of us to know more is fellow *Dawson's Creek *alum Michelle Williams.

Williams visited **'s *The Awardist *podcast earlier this year, where this epic reunion of some of her her ol' pals quickly came up.

Williams said the news about the project — described as an investigation into "the pursuit of love" — was a total surprise to her.

When host Gerrad Hall asked if she had any interest in making an appearance, she immediately fired back, "I am tech avail."

That's not a firm yes, but it is quite far away from a "no" for the five-time Academy Award nominee, wouldn't you say?

Holmes and Jackson did not just play opposite one another on *Dawson's* as Joey and Pacey from 1998 to 2003, they also shared a bit of an off-screen romance for a spell during the beginning of the show. They have remained chums all this time, however, mentioning in interviews over the years that they keep in touch and maintain a fondness for one another. (Who else is melting over here?) Both performers are currently unmarried after some rather high profile marriages (she to Tom Cruise, he to Jodie Turner-Smith) and whenever they are out on the town with someone it tends to spark dating rumors.**

The official synopsis for *Happy Hours *reads "a story about two people navigating their relationship within the challenges of careers and family responsibilities and the pursuit of love despite life's inevitable obstacles. The film is a character driven dramedy that explores the emotional journey of young loves who reconnect as adults, with the connective thread of shared joys, loss, and hope."

The IMDb, however, has a description that may hit harder with *Dawson's Creek *shippers: "Former sweethearts cross paths years later and rekindle their connection, balancing careers, family duties, and personal dreams while rediscovering what they once had - and what they could become." We believe the proper response to such news is to "squee."

Others in the cast, per IMDb, include Mary-Louise Parker* *and Constance Wu. There is no information yet about additional entries in the trilogy or release dates.

The former teen drama costars reunited in September for a charity event aimed at raising money for F Cancer after star James Van Der Beek was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2024. Van Der Beek had to pull out of the event last minute due to illness, with Lin-Manuel Miranda filling in for the live reading of the pilot script alongside Williams, Holmes, Jackson, and *Dawson's *costars Busy Philipps, Mary Beth Peil, John Wesley Shipp, Mary-Margaret Humes, Nina Repeta, Kerr Smith, and Meredith Monroe.**

Let's hope Holmes and Jackson were able to offer Williams a movie role backstage.
