Jack Black is truly astonished by Elle Fanning's attraction to him.

After the *Sentimental Value* actress said in an interview with her sister Dakota for *Vanity Fair* last fall that she found him to be "sex on legs," "the perfect man," and "the hottest man I've ever seen in my life," Black had, what else, but a funny reaction.

"Have you ever heard of body dysmorphia?" Black, the star of comedies such as *Nacho Libre*, *Kung Fu Panda*, and *School of Rock* asked in a TikTok that Sony Pictures shared Sunday. "Where when you look at yourself, you're like, 'Oh, I'm so ugly,' but really you're like this gorgeous creature? I think she's got like the opposite of that, where she looks at me, which objectively is a goblin gremlin, and she sees this gorgeous creature apparently."

He declared that Fanning, 27, has "that goblin dysmorphia."

"Thank you," the 56-year-old said. "I appreciate the compliment, but I have to close my eyes, because I can't quite process what I'm hearing there. But thank you, Elle."****

Black gave the message in a video in which he sat alongside Paul Rudd, his costar in the upcoming reboot of the movie *Anaconda*.**

Rudd piped up that he totally understands where Fanning is coming from.

"I will say on behalf of Elle Fanning, I get it," Rudd said with a grin. I really do. I adore you, Jack. As does America! As does the world! Elle's got it right. Elle's got it right."

Black made sure to deliver a special message to Gus Wenner, Fanning's boyfriend since 2023.

"Dude, we got no beef," Black said. "We're cool. I didn't do nothing to deserve this attention."

Fanning explained in a December 2024 chat on *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon* that her boyfriend personally told Black, 'You're her hall pass,' when they met at a valet stand at the Golden Globes that year. And she was standing right there!

Black's wife since 2006, Tanya Hadden, was there too.

"We were laughing," Fanning said. "I mean, I was turning bright red. I still am."
