The Arizona Cardinals are back in action for the preseason against the Las Vegas Raiders. Starters are expected to play. Quarterback Carson Beck will not, as he rests from a rib injury he sustained last week.
It is the Raiders' preseason opener.

Cardinals open on defense
The Cardinals won the coin toss and opted to defer. THey began the game on defense.

Raiders 7, Cardinals 0
After the Cardinals were torched defensively in the Hall of Fame Game, they led the Raiders march down the field, going 68 yards on 10 plays in 5:16. Kirkc Cousins completed 5-of-6 passes for 50 yards, throwing a 13-yard touchdown pass to tight end Michael Mayer.
No Trey McBride, no Budda Baker
The Cardinals said they would play their starters. That did not apparently include everyone. Budda Baker did not appear in the first defensive series. Trey McBride was not in on offense with their first offensive possession.
